Chiropraxis and Manual Therapy

Chiropraxis is a well-established science, internationally codified for the purposes of prevention, evaluation and treatment of disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system through the use of hands.

The manipulation consists of a forced mobilization of the spine that is applied to a vertebral segment and goes beyond the joint game without exceeding the anatomical limit. It must then be carried out very precisely and in a measured manner.

What are the signs?

The indications are varied:

– Acute and chronic Cervicalgia

– Stiff neck

– Migraines

– Dizziness

– Shoulder pains

– Back pain

– Acute and chronic Lumbago

– Sciatica

– Cruralgie

– Pain in the hip and knee

At Ortho-Bio-Med, you will have the opportunity to integrate the manual method to neural therapy (link), Idrotomia Percutaneous (link) and other techniques (link to pain therapy).

Are there any contraindications?

There are several contraindications, that is, why a careful medical history examination is critical before performing these techniques. Additionally, it is important that manipulation is only carried out by trained health personnel. An example:

  • Unconsolidated fractures
  • Severe Osteoporosis
  • Tumours

How many sessions are needed?

The number of sessions is highly variable and dependent on the clinical context. In some cases, only one session may be necessary.
