Acupuncture is one of the techniques offered by the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The first documents about the needles piling along “energy channels” date back to over 2,000 years ago.
It is based on the fact that the human organism is not only made from materials but also from energy. TCM recognizes the existence of twelve main channels, called meridians; every channel corresponds to and connects internally with one of the twelve zang fu (“organs”). It means that there would be six yin and six yang channels. The energy in TCM is called IQ and the purpose of therapy is to rebalance all the energy that circulates through our body.
Microanatomy and modern physics have been able to confirm the existence of the “points” of acupuncture and the accuracy of these theories. In today’s world, you know that the “points” are able to modulate and transmit stimulus to the neuro-vegetative system. This is how you start the self-regulation and healing process.
Other methods of acupuncture date back to the 1950s:
– Ear acupuncture according to NOGIER
– Korean acupuncture of the hands and feet
– Skull acupuncture according to YAMAMOTO
These techniques are accurate in the immediate resolution of the disease/symptoms from which the patient suffers.
At Ortho-Bio-Med, we also have laser equipment in order to treat sensitive people or children, being completely painless.
Acupuncture is paid for by Basic Medical Insurance.
